A resistive touchscreen panel is a technology composed of several layers, the layers that allow control of positioning are two thin, electrically conductive layers separated by a narrow gap. When your finger, presses down on a point on the panel's outer surface the two metallic layers come in contact at that point, and that location is sent to the device - to perform some action or move the cursor. Resistive touchscreens are reliable, but can only be used to control a single point at a time.
capacitive touchscreen panel consists of an insulator such as glass, coated with a transparent conductor such as indium tin oxide (ITO). Since the human body is also an electrical conductor, touching the surface of the screen results in a distortion of the screen's electrostatic field, measurable as a change in capacitance. Different technologies may be used to determine the location of the touch. The location is then sent to the device to be interpreted. Unlike a resistive touchscreen, capacitive requires contact with your finger - it is much more flexible and precise, but you can't use it with gloves, though you can use a capacitive stylus if the device supports them. Very Good
I purchased this tablet with a little doubt about it being refurbished but it works great. I use it mainly when relaxing on my deck outside and the battery last longer than a laptop. Very satisfied.

Works well
Does most of what I wanted it for. Reading mainly, a few apps I wanted seem to be only available for the I pad. There seems to be some movement in one corner when I pick it up as if one of the tabs was broken off inside when they refurbished the unit. As for wi fi it only gives 2 bars in my home but I was sitting in the hospital parking lot the other day and it picked up their guest wi fi. Overall I'm happy with it.

Good Tablet
I bought this after doing extensive research and talk with my tech bunny friends. For a refurb it works well and comes loaded with good apps for office use. I have a couple of small problems but they are app specific and don't reflect on the quality of the tablet. If you are looking for a solid tablet at a good price look no further.
