Great, owned this one 18 months plus
This one runs 20 hours a day. The blub has roughly 10,900 Plus hours on it. The built in blub warning told us blub was past due, 5 months after we owned it, cause my wife pretty much keeps it on. It aint burned out yet to our surprise. Its idiot proof, plays great on HD channels, dvd play is great, I caint say enough. about it. We are very happy with it . Very good value for the money, 3 LCD is the only way to go.

Love MY HD EPPY!
I've been wanting this thing since it came out, Now that the price has dropped I jumped On IT! This thing is great! I have it hooked up to my Toshiba HD DVD, My scientific Atlantic 8300HD cable box and my Samsung Blu Ray player!(HDMI Switch is a must) MY pretty Black Eppy comes w/all the standard inputs you need to run it as a stationary Hometheater Projector or as a portable Projector DVD player. I'll be honest when I run a standard def movie via Blu Ray or HD DVD player it looks the same, But movies In High DEF, I just sat there and said ''WOOOOOOOOOOOOW'' this thing has Deep rich color! The DVD player in the Moviemate 72 is good even my burned movies look good on it. Some may want to ceiling mount it but this does not support that type of installation, so what I did was installed a Standard TV wall mount but u can use a standard tv ceiling mount and put it up there! I can insert my disc face to face now unlike the Moviemate 25 which loads from the back, this is a first generation mo

The simplicity of this unit is amazing. It's literally a movie theater in a box. The picture quality is great (for the price) and the ease of hook-up and use are great. I hooked up my laptop and was watching a beautiful transfer of my iTunes videos. I will definitely recommend this to my own family. Oh, my Playstation 3 BluRay looks tremendous on this as well.

This thing is awesome. If you are moving up from a standard tube TV and are wondering whats the best hi-def source for the buck - this will give you a 95'' screen from about 6ft away with an upscaling DVD player and speakers. For $50 more you can buy PC surround sound speakers and have it sound as good as a theater. As far as ambient light goes, I project it onto a white wall (no screen) and even at the rooms brightest, it's more watchable than the the annoying reflection of bright windows you get in a tube TV. Btw... This CAN display a full resolution 720p signal from a PC. You need to use the VGA cable (not S-Video) and you have to set the resolution to 1280X720, not 1280X768. Either of those will cause the screen to get cut off like they described in the other review.

I just purchased an Epson MovieMate 72 projector. I thought it should be brought to everyone's attention that this projector is NOT able to properly display a 720p signal from a PC. This was confirmed to me during a phone call to Epson's tech support today (4/14/08). When the computer outputs a 1280x720 signal the left side of the screen is cut off. I bought this projector as a portable movie theater AND to give presentations via PowerPoint (the built-in speakers were a very nice convenience). The projector is able to scale other resolutions to fit the screen but the picture quality is compromised significantly because it's being scaled to a non-native resolution. I thought this should factor in on anyone's decision in purchasing this projector for use with a laptop or any other computer.
