Customer Reviews
Good value for the money. But beware, ECS customer service is terrible. They take forever just to issue RMA. Now waiting for board repair/replacement - wondering if I'll see it anytime soon. LAL
Seems like this is a good deal. Runs my 3.0ghz Core 2 Duo, 2 gig Corsair XMS, and a 1 gig vid card. Only complaint is the lack of onboard IEEE support. Sound worked out the box great. This was my first build and I am very satisfied.
Great little motherboard. Installed just fine, great manual. I was able to install the sound just fine, but the NIC is behaving strangely. It's either the NIC has some sort of problem or my gateway (which worked fine, maybe they don't like each other??). For some reason, when I reboot, sometimes the NIC claims to be unplugged, when I replug the network cable, it works. I tried 3-4 different drivers and no luck, still happens sometimes (not every time, but sometimes...). Oh well, that's my only complaint. For the price and other features, it's still worth it.
Good board. I had been using the cheaper ''945GZT-M'' model for over a year so I upgraded to this version so I could use 4GB RAM, a quad-core processor, and four SATA devices. These boards seems pretty reliable. The only thing I wish it had was better hardware support for audio, but that's okay.
