The first day I had this GPS, it worked great. Since then it rarely is able to connect to a satellite. EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE.
2 of my friends have Garmin GPS's and I've never seen satellite problems with them.
I live in Denver so I dont think the issue is being to remote either.
Nice but outdated BIG TIME!!

I like this Navigon 2100. Unfortunately, the maps are REALLY outdated (like 5-6 years old). There are roads that it does not even have in the system. Navigon has updated maps for sell. Unfortunately, they are $80 per update. So, the machine is $90, but you will have to pay another $80 to get an updated map.
As far as the hardware goes, if you leave it in your window-not turned on- when you try to turn it on it will take a while. Overall, I am disappointed with GPS.

It has the worst ever POI. YOU CANNOT DO A NAME SEARCH!!! AARGH! It freaking sucks! For example if you are looking for a local Walmart you cannot simply type in ''Walmart'' you have to go through the POI and type in the city then type in the category then if you're lucky that's if you're lucky the Walmart will be there. If not you are SCREWED! I cannot believe they would not put a name search feature. This is the first GPS system that I actually had to use Google Maps so I can save the address of my local Fry's so that I can get to it. I have a Garmin in my other car and it is a 100 times better than this. I regret buying this frustration. It's only good for finding places if you actually have the physical address if you don't then it's hit or miss. Pay the extra $$$ to get a Garmin or a Magellan..heck even a Mio is better.

It's a great buy, I had it for 3 months now. Works like a champ, very accurate. I travelled Missouri, D.C., Kentucky, Michigana with it and it never gave me any problem. Great buy for the money.

I bought this Navigon 2100 for my wife last November on a Black Friday sale. the first couple of months worked fine but then it wouldn't stay powered on; it keeps going out. I had to download and re-install their update twice. For myself, I bought the TomTom 3rd edition and never had any problems whatsoever. What I like about the TomTom is that it powers up and locks into the signal fast. the TomTom website and software updates are a breeze too - unlike the humungous download for the Navigon. I'm going to file for a warranty claim on this piece of crap very shortly. Stick with a reliable TomTom or Garmin.

I just bought my 2nd Navigon 2100 and what can I say, its a very good buy, I had Mio before, my friends had a Garmin Nuvi, Navigon bested them, it may not have the bluetooth, mp3 but its been compensated by other features such as reality view, traffic update.

I JUST BOUTH THE 2100 FROM A FRIEND. IVE NEVER USED ANY OTHER GPS SO I HAVE NOTHING TO COMPARE IT TO, BUT I LOVE THIS THING. ITS VERY EASY TO USE(EXCEPT FOR TYPING) AND IF THERES ANYTHING YOU WANT, THAT IT DOESNT HAVE, YOU ARE EITHER TOO PICKY, OR YOU HAVE SAND IN YOUR PANTIES. THIS REALLY IS ALL YOU SHOULD NEED UNLESS GOING TO CANADA.
