Was hoping for a great solution ...
I ended up instead with a completely useless piece of hardware. I have spent several valuable hours trying to get this thing to work, to no avail. While not a tech wizard, I've been using and creating software for 25 years, so know my way around. This things is complete failure.

Left vs Right
For right handed people I am sure the pen works great. Being left handed I found it very difficult to use. Scanning from left to right the text appeared backward, when set for a left hander. If sent for a right hander and scanning from left to right the pen was at the wrong angle and did not work. Scanning from right to left was very unnatural but it was the only way the pen would work for a lefty. I think for a righty it's a great product but for a lefty who normally scans left to right it is not a good product and not recommended. I ended up returning to product because I found one that works much better for us lefties out there.

I received the scanner pen and found it to be a great new tool. However the software seems a bit unstable and required several re installs as it would just quit. Also after several hours of none use it would fail to operate until the USB plug was removed and then plugged back in. There is no tech support from the manufacture at all. I tried for several days via phone and then resorted to voice mail and email with no response. Even their ''live'' sales line was never answered. You are trapped in an endless recorded loop. Too bad as when the pen works it is a real time saver and worth the money.

You either love or hate this product. There are two secrets. First, holding the pen right.... practice practice practice. Once you get it, it goes better. Second, make sure you have clear text. It's expensive, but when it works its great. When it doesn't it is very frustrating.
