This card was marked as valid for HP equipment only, which is not stated on the Web site. The cards have worked fine in my Dell machines. They were easy to install and my users who have just switched to dual monitors absolutely love them. Very good deal for the price.

This kind of graphic card can potentially save corporations hundreds of thousands of dollars of vision care insurance claims.
In a business productivity environment, this card is a winner delivering excellent display quality, that reduces eye fatigue.
HP even bundles at no additional cost the dual head DMS 59 to DVI connector.
The ROM BIOS of this graphic card has already been updated to the latest version.
The only other graphic cards that can match the display quality of Quadro NVS cards are possibly Matrox cards that sell at a substantially higher price. Anyone that sits at a desk entering data in Excel spreadsheets for the better part of their work day, will love this card given that screen fonts will appear much crisper and well defined.

I got a few of these when Tiger was unloading them at 37 bucks. Built several trading terminals with Mach Speed with MS945G MB, Corsair Twinx 5400 DDR2 and C2D 4500's CPUs. The NVS 285 runs perfectly with the Nvidia drivers (I ignored the included CD). Trading may seem like a game but certainly doesn't need ''gaming'' video. Charts and assorted windows run just fine with no blips. One box I built even has the NVS card in the PCIe 16 slot with a PNY FX5200 PCI duo card in a PCI slot..running 4 monitors (2 DVI and 2 VGA) flawlessly. The one Nvidia driver handles it all. They will have to pry my copy of Windows 2000 prof. out of my cold dead hands and it resides on the kits I built. Both cards are heat sink cooled and helps the box remain silent. So far so good. My sympathies to anyone buying this card for anything more elaborate than business needs.
