I bought this 46'' LCD at tiger direct for $799 plus shipping and it was the best purchase I've made. Brilliant colors, bright screen (had to turn brightness down),Excellent detail and wide viewing angle,non-reflective screen. Mine must have been an upgraded version because the channel changer for local channels changed instantly, unlike most of the digital tuners on the market. If you want to see it locally the phillips 47'' LCD at sam's club or Target looks very similar. Also I did not notice any buzzing. |

After comparing to the Toshiba, Sony, and Sharp 46'' offerings, buying this TV was a no brainer. Hundred of dollars cheaper AND a better picture! This is a 10 bit display, beware of most of the models that the major name brands offer, as they are typically 8 bit panels. Set them side by side and you will clearly see the difference. Incredible TV at an incredible price!!! |

Bought the Sceptre 46'' in MArch 2008, and it was working just fine till October, when the image started to look not as sharp as it used to be. Couple of weeks ago, the display started to shut-of by itseld after about 2 hours, and it does not re-start even when I unplug and plug it again. Called Sceptre service many times, no one answers the phone. Then I left a message. The next day, a tech support called me, and said that I need to ship the 46'' LCD to their company in California. Buy the way, Sceptre are located only in California. Too bad for me since I live in Virginia. The cost of shipping will be my cost, and I need to buy to box to ship it too. My recommendation is that you should consider seriously big companies (Sony, Toshiba, etc.) to buy LCDs instead of Sceptre. |

Just boxed it up and am awaiting an RMA from Sceptre which is already late. They claim to send an RMA back within 24 hours and also told me they would send UPS to pick this package up (i.e. no cost to me) but still I haven't heard anything. That said, the picture was very nice except for the Yellow line down the right half of the screen. Honestly, it wasn't that noticeable except on Blue backgrounds but that's NOT the point. The unit has a defect and I paid for a new unit so expect them replace it at no cost to me. I gave it 3 stars for now but if I don't hear back from them in a day I will be returning this to TD and buying from a major manufacturer like Phillips or Sony and this rating go lower. |

We bought this HDTV back in November 2007 (from another source, a mass market retail membership club). Without the benefit of an HD capable source (ie HD-DVD, Blu-Ray or HDTV), we have not 'exercised' this beast to its fullest. Except my son - who figured out how to use this as a 1080p 46'' digital monitor for his SLI capable computer. Leave it to the kids...Anyway, his images are fantastic and the screen easily keeps up with the most strenuous game. The annoying power supply buzz is in this unit also - only an issue at start-up, really. The 5.1 surround of our home theatre masks the noise, anyway. Seems to dimish with age and power-on time. Definitely a nice unit - more so for the price. We've had Sceptre monitors before - a 19'' CRT which died after 5 years. Hope their LCD technology lasts longer, but in 5 years, who knows what will be the standard for HD? |

I bought the Sceptre 46'' after a long and through search process. The tv arrived in less then 2 days from purchess. I have everything hooked up to my Yamaha RX-V663 A/V receiver and my Dayton Audio 10 speaker surround sound. I put in a really good action movie, sat back in my chair and nearly cr@@@@@ myself at the full HD picture and full HD sound... The picture is incredable!!! |

After researching for a long time I finally pulled the trigger on this TV, and was I not disappointed. This is the best value for a 1080p Tv out there. Great picture, tons of inputs, and easy to use. I had none of the buzzing from the power supply people complained about. The tuner is a little slow, but for a TV this size I expected it. The only complaint I have is the adapative contrast is not the best, but can easliy be turned off so that the TV isnt constantly trying to lighten and darken the screen. |

got home hooked it up in 5 minutes love the hidden channels. Got mine new for cheaper than advertised due to finding it cheaper somewhere else but Tiger Direct matched the price. great value now we can't wait to see a blu ray movie on it... |

This tv is a great buy, especially at the price! It offers awesome picture and great sound. Even regular dvds and channels show up nice on this tv! The features are really easy to access and use and the tv looks great. Everything about it is great, if I were you I'd buy one right now because you won't find a better tv for the price. The only hangup I found is that there's a slight delay when turning on the tv and changing channels, but you get that with any large hdtv due to the power it uses. The remote is easy to read and use but you can't switch channels or anything at extreme angles from the tv. Still, this is a great buy! |

I just got home and hooked my tv up, everything worked perfect. There was no hum nor any dead pixels. It was very easy to hook up and to set the specifications to my liking. I'd definitely recommend this to my friends. |
