worst TV ever!!!! Do not buy!
This TV was in service for over 10 months only a few months after I bought it.

Really bad purchase exactly at the time the warranty expired my tv got scrach thing over the screen it will go for few seconds and come back as the tv gets warmer its worst so, im veryy dissappointed for the bad quality of the tv.. i dont really recommend this tv. dont waste your money !!

WARNING! DO NOT PURCHASE AKAI PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO WAIT!!! I purchased a brand new akai 42 in in may, It died in august It came with a 1 year manufacturer warranty! I have been calling and sending emails since august to get service or replacement! Akai has not returned my calls nor responded to any emails I have been calling them 2-3 times a week and get the same song and dance! QUOTE ''Weve submitted it to corprate and are waiting on a response'' Corporate must be lightyears from earth!!!!

Look its cheap what do you expect It looks good in HD and has some decent functions... just make sure you have a local service center near you in my state there is only 3 service centers that work on them one is 10 miles from me but the next is 64 miles away i would hate to be someone inbetween... Its not great but its cheap so guess what you get what you pay for!!! *** I dont know what the fasination with SAMSONY is (SAMSUNG has been making SONY LCD panels up until JUNE 08 when SHARP will take over production) YOU WANT QUALITY ASK A REPAIR CENTER THEY ALL SAY ***SHARP*** and if you look around the world it is rated #1 in quality NOT sony

WAS a beautiful tv for the price...then squiggly lines that disappeared after a few minues...then squiggly lines NEVER disappeared. DO NOT waste your time. It will only break your heart in the end.
