It works but is not a USB 2.0
It works but is not a USB 2.0, I use this to conect a kitchen printer for the Restaurante so no speed is not necesary to print small tickets, but if you want to use it for camaras or major data transfering I don't recomend it, for that you will have get a 2.0 USB OR HIGHER

Does NOT Work
I Tried to hook my printer up to my router so i could print wireless from anywhere in my house and it didn't work. Then i read the box and found out what it was actually used for, then i tested that with my printer and still nothing! Don't waste your time!!

Absolute Junk!!!
Product is DOA - does not work with any patch cable in any configuration. Tried everything. Wasted way more money in cat5 than on this novelty. Did not waste time with tech support. Wont run a USB thumb drive with 6 inch cable. Item went right in the garbage where it belongs

Not exactly useful
First, it didn't function, at all, with specially run cat6 in the wall, for Windows 7 (64 bit) or XP (32 bit). When I tried a simple connection with a 6 ft length of cat6 to an MP3 player, a powered hub, and an external HD, I had no results in Windows 7. The OS won't recognize any device. I contacted Support and they suggested using something simple, like a thumb drive or mouse. Nothing worked with Windows 7 (64 bit). The MP3 player was recognized in XP but at USB 1.0, not USB 2.0. The external drive and hub were not recognized. The adapter packaging states that its USB 2.0, which is why I purchased it. No, this item isn't worth the discounted $19.99. Sabrent Support was swift to respond and attempt to help me. I'll certainly give them credit for that.

Does the trick
I got it to connect a webcam in a theatre performance space to backstage so that the crew can have an idea of what's happening on stage. Cheapest way to get it done besides blowing a hole in the wall Quite satisfied.
