I purchased this for a gaming machine I started to build. It is blazing fast I don't think I'm even going to overclock it, or at least for a few years. With the OCZ vanquisher cooler (highly recommended 25 bucks on this site) my processor never gets any hotter than 22 degrees Celcius (or about 77-79 degrees F) It I haven't seen this thing go past 30% percent load and that was while running TF2 and firefox while watching videos on youtube.
Blazing fast you won't regret it. |

This is a must have upgrade from a 945 pentium D 3.40 GHz 800 FSB 2 MB cache. [For conservatives] The speed is out of this world on [STOCK]. NOTE: Does NOT overclock well with XFX nForce 680i SLI MOBO, Im into OC'ing so it lose points in features and Quality. I'm also using this CPU with OCZ 2 GB dual channel SLI memory. Overall a DAMN good CPU for conservatives. I'm just pissed Tiger came out with the cheaper faster cooler running 45nm a few weeks AFTER I perchased this brand. DAMN I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!! |

Great buy. Used it on my first build. Runs a little hot but I'm getting a Zalman CPU cooler so that should do it. DO NOT USE THE ONE THAT COMES WITH IT!
i do use this for gaming though and i get great FPS. |

Exceptionally fast processor. Encoding times are a fraction of my old single core processor. Stock fan works fine. Extended 100% CPU usage does not spike the core temp. Upgraded the CPU paste to be certain. Good value. |

This procs kick massive a##!! WOW its a big and a great improvement from my old P4 650 3.4Ghz 2MB L2 Cache 800FSB. I have this in a 680i SLI SE mobo and an XFX 8800GTS 640MB XXX 3 500gig harddrives and 4 gigs of OCZ SLI 800MHz DDR2 RAM, there's no game i can't play on ULTRA high settings!!!! Def worth the buy. |

Installed it on my XFX nForce 680i SLI Motherboard (A+ all the way) and overclocked this baby to the extreeme. The pross already ran faster than my Intel Pentium D 940 3.20GHz clocked to 4.2ghz. So to see how well this pross ran I o/c'd it to 4.5ghz and it still runs cooler than 43C on full load. |

just bought this for my first build. and i must say first of all it kicks my pentium 4 ass so bad that i havent turned my other computer on for the past week... im not into oc'ing yeat but in the future yes so far with a 3.0ghz and 1333mhz front side bus its doing a great job |
