Its SMART-X function adjusts CD-DA, VCD and DVD data extraction to the fastest allowable speed. ABS® mechanism reduces vibration and noise while the drive is rotating at high speed. It does exactly what a cd drive is supposed to do. Writes and reads fast enough that I've never noticed it to be a problem. |

I like it when things work as advertised.
My old drive was a LITEON from 2003. Brand loyalty and reliability sent me looking for a modern product and I am happy to add more features to the Windows XP Pro computer I bought in 2004. |

This drive is a steal for the price. Installs easily and does what it is suppose to do. The Nero software that comes with this drive is garbage but aside from that this drive is a great bargain. the only other downsides are it feels a bit slow compared to other drives I've used, and a bit noisy. |
