Great computer for at home and kids. This is great for photo taking and gaming, as well as the whole interent stuff. One suggestion would be to up the Video card. The intergrated one is not good enough for World Of Warcraft and it has some issues after a while. But like I said a new Video card and you are set. |

Nice features and I believe the hardware is a good value for the money, but Vista is the most troublesome and frustrating OS I have ever used. Vista was SLOW and unreliable even though I added 1 GIG memory when the unit was purchased. Among the problems, icons spontaneously multiplied on the desktop and the sound quit working every time I rebooted. After several weeks of frustration I wiped the hard drive and loaded OEM Windows XP Professional SP2. What a difference! It runs applications fast and is a stable platform. I did have some trouble finding the XP device drivers because they weren't available on the eMachines site, but I tracked them down off the website of the motherboard manufacturer. Until MS gets the bugs out of Vista, I won't recommend or buy another PC with Vista installed. If this was delivered with Windows XP, I would have given it 5 stars! |

I love this machine. It is a huge upgrade from the emachine 500A that I had before. I upgraded to 2g of Ram Memory. Emachine Customer Sevice was excellent with helping me install it. I had a few kinks intially with getting my specifications correct with TigerDirect but I got it all worked out. I will say this -everyone at Tiger Direct was pleasant and friendly on the phone. They did offer a solution (software) and did not charge shipping. Great Features and Great for me since I am a student. I love the Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 and the multimedia center. Vista is a work in progress but It is pretty easy for me to navigate as well and has some great new features. I would recommend this machine for students. |

This Machine is very good although I couldent get drivers for the Intel board as it comes with a crappy version of Windows Vista and is under-powered.
Tiger Direct dosent have a clue when it comes to pc specs the Ram is garbage! hynix is crappy ram, and 512 MB for Vista dosent cut it the minimum for vista is 1gig and a 800 processor
Tiger direct gives you half the ram lol, but 3 times the processor.
My AMD Sempron will run Vista realy well with 1 gig of ram and A 1.6 gig processor 1/2 of what the Emachine runs on although were going Vista Tiger Direct should atleast give you the minimum requirements for vista, wich they dont do any other store will bottom line do yourself a favor get a video card, a sound card, and run xp pro, or home vista is crap. |

Very nice Desktop Computer Operating
system. Nice
features. Very nice Components. Very Easy to Work With. Vista on the other hand is a very different Story. A word of advice. If installing a secondary Operating System. Reformat the Whole Drive, Vista Seems to hog and Lock Components. All the time. it' Sucks...... :o).... |
