this printer puts out some great photo's set up great I hav'nt used the fax or duplex printing yet but I am very happy.

Easy to set up. We got this to see how it would do for moving our business to a virtual office set up. So far, works great. Double-sided scanning of mail to e-mail is fantastic. One button scanning and copying works great. Fast. Lower cost of ownership than our office monster.

Absolute photo quality prints on photo paper! Probably among the best in printing photos in this price range
But, you HAVE TO USE CANON INKS! It will not let you use generic ink. I purchased generic ink and followed the instructions. It still wouldn’t work. I figure it keeps track of how much ink it puts down and tells you when it calculates the ink is almost out. You can’t refill the Canon cartridges. It still thinks it’s empty and does not sense that you filled it.
When I scan a picture or document, there are what look like two fat little black exclamation points next to each other almost in the center of the picture. There is nothing visible on either side of the glass. There is some sort of flaw. Every time I scan something, I have to go in and doctor the picture to get rid of the crap that this scanner puts in.
If you have to fax more than one page, the document feeder will suck two or three at a time and jam it.
If the fax doesn’t go through, it will automatical

Great printer so far. I have only had it a week but it puts the Brother MFC-420CN to shame.
