The Xbox 360 is as low as $199 now compared to the PS3 (although I'm going to pick up a PS3 for uncharted 2). I don't know if you guys run you Xbox's next to space heaters or what but I've never had any problems with my Xbox and I've had it for years. Not sure what kind of abuse you guys are sending it's way but works for me just fine. All I need is to upgrade to a 250GB HDD.
Expensive, but great performance!

As far as the game library goes, the Xbox 260 has a FAR greater selection than the PS3 and DEFINITELY more than the Wii. Streaming videos, pictures, and music either off your computer or Xbox Live, a dream! No, Xbox Live isn't free, but it's well worth the money. I'd like to correct one of the previous reviews. SOME GAMES do, in fact, have dedicated servers, and some as he said use peer to peer. Even with the peer to peer networking though, the automated moderaters will kick people who stay in game without any activity. As far as graphics go, 1080i and 1080p, can't beat that! However, I reccomend just getting the normal system and buying a 120GB HDD. That'll save you quite a heap of money.

The Xbox 360 is a awesome console. I have had my 360 elite for over a year and have had no problems what so ever. In fact, it has become the centerpiece of my entertainment center. It can stream music and video off my computer. How cool is that? Add to that, being able to watch netflix instantly from the web, the awesome online game play, and the game titles available. All in HDMI. What more could a couch potato ask for?

Ok i love my XBOX 360! But, every since i updated the system i've had sound issues? NOT COOL!!! The only way i can fix the problem is to remove the hard drive with the system on and then put it back on. Causing the system to reboot! I Still say it's a great buy but don't buy elite it's cheaper to buy the hard drive and system separate!

Honestly, I have no idea why you people place close to some hate comments the Xbox 360. It is a outstanding system, makes absolutly wonderful games, at very good graphics and gameplay. Xbox Live, it does cost money, but dang is it worth it to play with millions of people online. With 120GB hard drive, how can you deny that. This comes with everything you need to enjoy yourself playing the Xbox 360, now go buy your games and have fun.

Great for running games, but beware Microsoft's so-called ''networking''. There are no servers to speak of, only peer-to-peer crap. Regardless of how fast your internet connection is (I run a 12 mbps DSL), you'll frequently encounter connection latency, sometimes even disconnecting you from a match entirely. Another lame feature is you have to pay for extra stuff in a game if the developers decide to add on to it, instead of getting it for free like you're supposed to. Customer support? As if. All Microsoft supports is their wallets. All in all, the system does perform well, although I'd like to see better performance optimizations for the games. But that's not Microsoft's fault, it's just the fault of the game designers. If you prefer consoles, then this is a good choice, but if you don't care, save your money and get a decent mid-range computer. Interesting note: the 360 controller is better for FPS games than PS3 ones.

I agree with you guys in your reviews about the system, it does many great thing and has a large and increasing arsenal of games. But, i want to comment on crazytech's review about the 360 being a ''super computer''. Allthough the 360 might be great and wonderful, it is NOT a SUPER COMPUTER. It has ONLY 3 cores=just 3. A ''Super Computer'' has hundreds of core and runs trillions of bytes per second, not to mention costing millions of $$$. Super Computers are made calculate weather and climate changes and forcasting, military weapons testing, even some major university. Vanderbilt has a $11 million super computer, it runs both the university and the hospital, and the international space station run with it.

unlike gdemon my console runs warm, not really hot though. so the system stays cool, plays for hours, and the hdmi is great quality. it looks nice, its more of a mat black. DO NOT BUY BECAUSE OF THE 120GB HDD!!! you can buy a 120gb hdd for the other xboxes. the great thing about this xbox is the cooler running temps, the power brick doesnt get so hot anymore. remember to use canned air to clean the system
