Acer's service is absolutely terrible. My lid cracked 3 times. They replaced it twice, but the third time I was out of the repair warranty by a couple of weeks. They know they have a problem with the case cracking around the hinges and will not stand behind their faulty design.

You get a single core AMD Sempron- not bad for the price...I got mine Open box so 60 bucks discount.
Vista home basic- Not real aero...They give you a white aero...go to classic mode it seems better that way
Since the video card is integrated you're really getting 768 MB worth of system RAM for vista home basic. I'm just saying.....it's not bad...but if you play games like CS:Source and better go for preminum or ultimate and a better laptop
I would suggest getting rid of all of Acer related products installed (crapware)
I have the ATI card at maxed out settings
Also, put a 1-2 GB Flash drive in there for readyboost
and to play starcraft without compatibility mode needed (so far): go into classic mode.
This a good computer for college use and basic internet use
