Ive had this DVD player for about ten months,
It was used about 15 to 20 times,
And then one day in the middle of a movie it just went dead.
It froze up, it just sat there like a dumb shit. I had to take it apart to get my disk back.
The RCA DRC285 HDMI up convert DVD player is an $80.00 piece of junk!

We did not use this very much (3times in 4months) but the last time it just locked up and went dead. Had to take bottom cover off to retreive rented disk. Junk !!

This is the best DVD I ever bought. It can play CD, DVD of all formats which I was not able to play with my older and expensive DVD players. It can also play PAL system as well beside the NTSC.

I've read some bad reviews on this item but I was buying it as a backup player in another room and the price was right so I went for it. I've had it for a couple of weeks and I have to say it works just fine. As a matter of fact, it upconverts my divx files to 1080i and they actually look better on the main t.v. than the LGDN191H upconvert that I use as my main box. Anyway, the player works great especially for the price range it's in. Way to go Tiger Direct!
