Wow - surprisingly good!
This thing actually works! I have a 15.4" Toshiba that was on its last legs (probably 5 years old) and has overheating issues. It would slow to a crawl and I would have to perform the 3-finger salute every 2 hours. With this new mat, I can use my notebook all day. The notebook still heats up but the IXoft mat somehow draws the excess heat away and allows the notebook to perform all day. Bottom line... I don't know how it works - just glad it does!

A real piece of crap.If you want to chase your laptop all over your work area this is for you.On top of that it is to small for a 17'' laptop.
