I bought this mother board 4 years ago and it is still blazing past new tech. I have the q6600 processor in it and it can hang with even i7 processors. Being totally overclockable is a.

Not really clear how this board has garnered 4 out of 5 stars given its negative feedback but I realize Tiger, despite their great service, cleans the reviews section of negative commentary (and stars) regularly. Nonetheless, I ran this mobo for over a year before it died and XFX has agreed to replace. Great for them but I need stability which you should not expect from XFX.

Got the board, updated the bios to get all my ram to work, but other than that little hiccup, no problems, runs great. I'm thinking about trying to add another video card to up my graphics a little, but I don't really need to, just playing around.

I Don't know why everyone is having issues with this board. I love it! Its the fastest computer I've built. I the sound card doesn't work (because i hooked it to a sub and fried it.. my bad) other wise id say every thing works perfect! couldn't be better. I also got this from a barebones deal. standard speed was 2.4GHz, and I can oc it to 3.15GHz. Thats plenty of speed for me. I've got 6gb of DDR2 Ram oc'd to 800MHz, becasue the defualt its 667MHz. I can run Crysis on max every thing, and it runs super fast

Good mobo, took some tweaking to get working. If you are installing vista, and you have 2 Ram sticks with 4 gigs total. Run OS install on 2gigs often the stock BIOS wont handle 4 and give you BSOD hardware failure. Get the OS up and then run the boot disk form XFX web support P08. It will save you much time and pains ....trust me.

This board served me well for a while. The first 6 months were solid. Then a usb port died. then two sata ports died. I've been running linux on this thing and have had no compatibility issues. I'm worried this board will get even worse with time so I'm going to have to recommend against it.

First board was DOA. Contacted XFX and they RMA'd for a new board. The new board has been awesome! I presently have a Q6600 OC'd to 3.08GHz at stock voltage with a Thermaltake Big Typhoon heatsink.
The nTune software that comes with the package is complete and utter junk. It conflicted with my ATI video drivers, couldn't have nTune and driver installed at the same time. Removed nTune and everything works like a champ now. My advice is don't waste your time installing it because the nVidia BIOS is very simple to tweak.

Bought this board with the Q6600 deal couple of months ago. Put everything together and it fire right up. Run several stress test and it seem handle just fine. The only downside of this board is it's northbridge fan is a little to big hence limit the user's option to go for a better CPU heatsink/fan(any zalman orb fan wouldn't fit).

Avoid this Board!!! There's a reason it is no longer available - had it for 4 months - Died. RMA - DOA, RMA - DOA. This board has a major design flaw. Just read the reviews. What's funny is XFX makes it sound like you are the only one with the problem.
