don't have this unit, but have seen it and it is very nice. I am writing this review to offset Deadpools rating. Deadpool had this for two weeks before it died and he's upset because it will be in repair for a month. But Tiger gives a 30 day exchange, so why didn't he just exchange it? Makes no sense to me

I was very happy with this product when I recieved it, but within two weeks the TV died. I called Toshiba to get numbers to get TV fixed and I now will not have a TV for a month. The TV repair company picked it up 9/11/07 and said it will not be fixed till around the middle of Oct. I recommend anyone that buys this TV, that contacting Toshiba is what to do,but you will really get nowhere fast.

Great TV. The HD pic is amazing. I did alot of research before I got this TV, I looked at the sony and other DLP TV's and found the sony's colors were not as vibrant.

I have owned my 65HM167 for more than three months now, and I can say without a doubt that it is an incredible set. The picture quality is unparalleled, and I have done several comparisons with LCD sets as well as Plasma. This set has none of the glare or processor speed problems of Plasmas or LCDs. The colors are crisp and sharp, and the definition is unparalleled.
The TV accepts both HDMI and Component Cables. Having tried both, I can say that while HDMI gives a neater set up, there is no noticeable difference in the picture quality with the Component Cables. The article at this link explains why: http://www.bluejeanscable.com/articles/dvihdmicomponent.htm . A great value at a phenomenal price. Everyone who has seen my set has the same reaction, WOW!

My only complaint is that TD did not have the stand when I bought the TV. Now they sell the TV and stand combo. D'oh! I've had mine for about 3 weeks now. I was apprehensive about the bulb going out after reading reviews for other DLP TVs. However, I've had no problems with the bulb so far. If I do, I will simply purchase a new one while I wait for the warranty replacement bulb, and keep it as a spare. It was well packed for shipping and I got it within 7 days of ordering. The TV is very light weight and easy to lift onto a stand. To the most important aspect, the picture is great! With my 1080i HD cable channels, it's almost like being there! Can't wait to see a 1080p source. Overall it has a large screen, a great picture, and is very well priced.

BUY IT AND ENJOY! GREAT VALUE! If you wait too long, you'll miss out! Absolutely drop-dead gorgeous picture -- the nicest I've seen in any display technology at this size and price point! Newest Toshiba release on a now-mature technology. I've been viewing through digital cable tv and an upconverting HD DVD player at 1080i and at 480i - just great! 1080p sourcing is still rare and grossly overpriced. For best picture, you *MUST* purchase high-quality HDMI cables (there are 3 HDMI inputs) AND high-quality 1080 sources. Built-in speaker sound is basically adequate (small, tinny sounding) -- NOT good enough for a center channel pass-through. For best sound, you *MUST* have a separate surround sound system. Toshiba TV's are very rugged (enjoyed a great Toshiba 27'' S-Video TV w/ built-in Carver sound base that was trouble-free for 10 years). By-the-way, I am NOT a Toshiba or TigerDirect employee - just The Frugal Gear Head.
