Great Drive for the price
This is a great drive. Its a little bulky and does need to be plugged into its own power supply so make sure you compare apples to apples if shopping for these types of drives. Other than that, it is as advertised.

Great drive fast and reliable
It works fast so far and after 5 months no problems at all. I have 2 of these for backup. I do not use the software since I always liked to save my stuff manually so i cannot give a precise opinion on it, but my ciusin . Love it and will recommended. Excellent drive!

Price is very good for 3TB - But it doesn't work
The software for the drive does not work. Let me repeat 'The software does NOT work'. I wasted two hours with tech service and downloaded several times and it just doesn't work. Without the software the drive does not work. After wasting hours on downloading and rebooting, etc IT DOES NOT WORK.

Need more room? Buy this, be happy and save $$
I was told that I could not fill up 1TB but I did and I was on the hunt for more space to conquer but I could not afford the prices until my hunt located a tiger directly caught in my search engine, a big 3TB external hard drive within reach of what I could afford. I quickly loaded my mouse and shot for the deal, hoping I wasn't dreaming. Tiger Direct came through and now I have the Seagate 3TB Backup Pluse STCA3000101. I am 100% satisfied with this product. I recommend it!

Good, but pricey
Works well, I connected it to Apple Airport Extreme and can access files on the drive from all devices in the house. I want to use it with the Thunderbolt adaptor (STAE122) , but can't find a seller willing to sell it to me and send it to New Zealand where I live. I would have like the option to buy it with the thunderbolt adaptor only - and not have to have the USB 3.0 adaptor that it comes boxed with.
