ha! everyone is right about this product but needs a different thought for it. Definitly, I would buy it if im looking for cheaper one with these kind of feautures. trust me guyz.this is really kinda irritating at first coz controls are quiet picky but u wont be disapppointed for what u get for what u pay for this.now im starting to love this.one this is true this is no apple ipod quality in screen.its more like mobile screen and everything looks fine for first day:D.had to really beat my head to figure out everything still have to know some more but what i needed i have known it.thats good for me.well buyers here is one thing u need to keep in mind.if u r looking for just quality just like particularly mp3 or video or voice recorder dont buy.buy seperate one.Instead if u r looking for many features in one then definietly go for this.not a great but likable:D oh ya one more thing forgot to mention..ppl below me talked about slow performance.work in normal temp its great...will do fine |

This thing is a piece of junk. Don't buy it. Quit working almost right from the start. Centon's support is horrible and not helpful at all. It didn't help either that they were closed the two weeks following Christmas, which is when I purchased this device. |

Thing sucks. I've had it for a couple months, and it freezes, menu doesn't work, and did not come with software or instruction. Movies would not save, so only music, pictures, and radio worked. Wouldn't make a good gift. Few good things: Storage was pretty good, and the battery life was very good. It's a decent size, but not worth the money |

Product worked nicely, then died. I had owned it for about 5 months. The Centon would NOT warranty it, simply saying that I had it too long. Having the reciept meant nothing. Sorry, never again will I buy a Centon product. They will not even consider honoring their own warranty! |

This player exemplifies what it means to get what you pay for...and sometimes even less. With the intent of purchasing a basic player with lots of memory as an input device to an old stereo receiver, this player seemed to offer what I needed. After buying it, I was disappointed. While it has many features and lots of memory for the price of $60, it has an extremely poor user interface; expect to get frustrated with the Menu navigation as it is slow and full of bugs. In addition, expect to re-format this unit upon receipt, then use it as a USB flash drive. The software that you have to download (it doesn't come with software!!) is useless. I should note that it has a pretty good internal speaker, reaching high volumes without distortion. I didn't bother trying to view video; for something like that you're better off paying $30 more for a Sandisk. Case in point: not a reputable company or product; only worth it if you NEED memory and are low on cash or time to shop. |

This MP3 player is SLOW to load songs. They are hard to find, once loaded, and it is difficult to navigate between applications. If you upgrade to better, sterio quality headphones, the sound quality is great, but if I had it to do allover again, I'd get something else |

not too happy, takes too long to power on, to load and application, and to pick songs. the time on mine gets reset everytime i turn it off, there is no way i can listen to a song and browse my library at the same time and i have to go back to the root folder everytime i want another artist or something. the speaker isn't that bad and the sound is alright, but the earphone that come with it look like cheap plastic dollar store quality. no software or manual inculded either and video screen is smaller than the actual screen of the player. radio is a little fuzzy too. its not the worst mp3, but its definatly not a good one either. get it if you cant afford anything else for this amount of memory. |

I bought two of these one for music another for voice messages and storage of podcast audio.
i am not to surprised it loads music fast as many have said since it does have a FM tuner in it plus recording capabilities.
I looked at all the other mp-3 players befor buying these and this isnt that bad for the price.
I received software with both units i purchased so not sure why you didnt get software dude. These guys even offer a decent warranty so sheesh at fifty bucks if it bust send it back. You and i are publicv relations which also means if what you send back does not work they will usually cut you a deal on a higher end player. These are just my thoughts not that anyone agrees or anything.

This is, without a doubt, the slowest portable player I have ever used. Using what seems to me to be a sensible file structure (mp3s organized in folders by artist/album), it takes a full 15 seconds to find a song. Select the artist, wait 5 seconds, select the album, wait, select the song, wait, then it plays. If I've been listening to another artist, add another 15 seconds to get back out to the root directory.
Transferring files is just as painful. Excited to have more space than my 1GB player, I immediately attempted to transfer almost 4GB of music. 1 1/2 HOURS later I was finally able to try listening to it. All of my other USB gear works at reasonable speeds.
Even the good ideas on this player turned bad. Having a speaker should be a good thing, but the quality is similar to one of those annoying greeting cards that plays music when you open it.
TigerDirect (still great) is cutting me off, so I guess I'm done lamenting the existence of this unfortunate piece of hardware. |
