I bought this player with the $10 rebate. The was definately the best price I could find for 1G of memory. The player is not totally user friendly but for the price, you can't beat it. It even comes with a converter so that you can put movie files on the player. The only thing I don't like is that the display for the music scrolls through the title. The scroll speed is extremely slow so it may take a while to figure out what song is playing if you don't already know. Other than that it comes with everything you need. I would recommend it.

I'm writing about the 2GB version, but there isn't any difference besides memory that I know of. IT DOES NOT PLAY MP4. I called the Centon support and the rep said ''Use the Conversion Softare''. If you have to convert mp4 to something else then of course it would play. The manual is poorly written. I would not recommend trying to upgrade the firmware using the file on the cd! When I tried to do so, the upgrade software crashed and rendered all text in the player in an asian language. I had to pilot blind until I was able to guess the correct language setting to set it back. Otherwise, the player works exceptionally well for the price and all other features I have tested work fine.
