Arrived, did not work at all, computer didn't boot. Horribly overpriced, tigerdirect refuses to accept return, intel refuses to assist. Horrible experience, do not buy this processor. |

This processor can be easily overclocked to 3Ghz no problem. Simply go to BIOS change the FSB to 1333mhz set the voltage to 1.325 if you have the G0 version. There you go, you got yourself a $1000 processor. The stock heat sink provided is good enough to be stable at 3Ghz. Temps are 32c idle and 65 full on prime95. The q6600 can at run any thing I throw at it. I would highly recommend this processor if any one wants to use a quad-core. |

This thing ROCKS! upgraded from a e2000 oc'd to 3 ghz to this monster running at 3 ghz like nothing to lazy to clock higher right now. using xfx 680i lt mobo -40 c temps have 4 programs open and converting video right now CPU USAGE AT 27% LOL this thing is awsome better buy em quick also running win xp pro ftw |

Flawless performance. The quad cores are utilized to their fullest capacity in my hackintosh. No problems whatsoever in a small enclosure with 450watt PSU. I highly recommend this CPU. |

Get the Go Stepping...it overclocks as much as the $1,117.00 one...why pay that much more for the same preformance....this thing rocks...nothing snubs it,,got my Go step in a Thermaltake.liquid cooled Armour..Asus Striker Formula 2 mobo...two 8800 gts sli'd..700 watts ocz.two seagate 250, gig hd's dual boot option at start up vista home premium 64 bit 8 gig mushkin ram...gaming is fantastic...he he he

106 degrees Celsius is 222 degrees Fahrenheit--more than enough to reduce your processor and motherboard to a steaming runny liquid.
At any rate, great processor. EXTREMELY overclockable. |

106 celcius??? that is crazy hot... got a Masscool huge heatsink and cores are normally at around 37 celcius non OC. obviously got the maximum 5.9 core score in winvista experience index. |

What can I say? oh yeah, FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTT ash F*ck, this ran circlies around my Computer Eqquiped with a T5550, and my P4 With Hyper threading (Although it is a socket 478 it is a 3.2 and the most powerful processer for that socket, about $1000 when it came out!) I probally will use it until i7s are outdated (I have a 700 watt PSU So no prob). |

I recently bought this and upgraded from a Pentium D. All i can say is it's a great processor for the buck. Running it stock and have had no problems what so ever. I just want to thank TigerDirect for such a deal. |
