A Closer Look
ZEROtherm BTF90 High-End CPU Cooler
Reviewed By Our Editors
If you’re running one of the latest CPUs then most probably you will need a CPU cooler. Gone are the days when PC CPUs could get away with just a little aluminum heat sink stuck on top of them, or no cooler at all. Today’s CPUs pump out so much heat when they run on full blast the small aluminum heat sinks and fans of yore are just not going to work at all. You need a pretty big heat sink, with a fan on it, to shift all that heat away. The faster a given CPU runs, and the higher its supply voltage, the more heat it emits. If the cooling system attached to the top of the chip cannot dissipate that heat well enough, the CPU will get too hot and simply stop working.
A good CPU cooler will make your PC cooler and allow you to over clock your CPU to higher frequencies than is possible with its standard cooler. And with so many good, low-priced CPU coolers available, there's no reason not to upgrade. This is what ZEROtherm is proud to introduce in the market, its latest creation – the ZEROtherm BTF90 High-End CPU Color. The device has polished copper base and heat pipes, as well as optimized airflow and styled fin designs. It also can be fitted to any CPU component and also provides silent operation; the ZEROtherm BTF90 delivers superior cooling performance for Intel and AMD CPUs.
Sporting a massive copper base, eight heat pipes, and copper fins, the BTF90 undoubtedly is a high end CPU thermal cooling solution. The ZEROtherm BTF90 High-end CPU Cooler is the only ZEROtherm product that has an easy Socket AM2 mounting mechanism. The Socket AM2 mounting mechanism is easy to fit, and can be mounted on motherboards with either vertically or horizontally orientated CPU sockets, and direct hot air out of the rear of the case.
The BTF90 CPU cooler has polished copper base that ensures maximum heat transmission from high temperature areas with your PC. This high-end 92 x 92 x 25mm CPU cooler comes with an innovative fin design cut that looks like butterfly wings and high quality polished heat pipes that delivers superior cooling performance of the PC and maintains a low 18 dBA noise output.
Furthermore, the BTF90 CPU cooler is compatible with many popular PC components like Intel Core 2 Duo series and Extreme series, Intel Pentium series, Intel Celeron series, AMD Athlon 64 series including the 64 FX, and AMD Sempron series. This will ensure efficient performance quality on the most enhanced CPU systems.
If you are into overclocking CPUs, or if you simply want to prolong the life of your CPU, then the ZEROtherm BTF90 High-end CPU Cooler may be a worthwhile investment to add more years and reliability to your desktop PC.

The product is great but making it into a butterfly was perhaps unnecessary. The radiation fins stuck out and at the ends were a bit flimsy. I bent a few of them just holding the fan. That's OK though. I straightened them out successfully, and installed the fan. It is quiet and effective. Nice that there are instant savings now. Not so when I bought it.

I've had this cpu fan about 2 yrs now.. Its been set on 100% fan speed since day one. I've had my q6600 OC'd at 3.2 ghz for about a year Rock solid. My little brother also has the same fan and processer and he overclocks even higher than mine... definately can't complain.. cheap and effective..
great cooler

I think it is over priced. I think it is the single most expensive part on my computer but I think the price has gone down since I bought it nearly a year ago. It wasn't hard to install. I had to take off the side case vent to fit it but that was not a big deal. My cpu stays in the 50-55 range even when playing games. Its freaking cool looking!!!! but my case isn't see through so oh well.
