I had high hope of finally being able to print from my laptop to the printer, without having to plug it in. After 4 plus hours talking to tech support. Turns out my wireless router and the print servers firmware both need to be upgraded. I had to install the printer updates on three different computers. I finally get it to work.
It does work - for me at least

Since one of my PC's is down for a while, I needed a way to connect the old dedicated HP Business InkJet 1000 to my home network. I saw the Linksys, referb and took a shot. Many reviewers had great difficulty, and I had my doubts. I read everything I could find on the Linksys web site, and realized I would need the latest Wizard 2.0 and the latest firmware 1019 at the very least. I used the Wizard and followed the crazy directions to the letter for 17 steps, and it worked! The Linksys recognized my network and printer the first time out. When attempting the Computer setup on my W7 PC from the Wizard all I got was
NOT Compatible with a whole host of MFC printers!

This print server is NOT compatible with the Epson NX300. Struggled with it for 3 hours before talking to an Epson tech, who said he does not recommend this print server for ANY Epson printer. I highly recommend visiting your printer manufacturers website to check compatibility before you buy this product - I was told I couldn't return it, as the unit I bought was a refurb.

It is not compatible with HP L7680. After more than one hour with the tech support representative of Linksys, they told me that the print server it is not compatible with my printer. I waste more than three hours trying to install it.

Not at all impressed with this product. There is a compatibility list for this product and its not that big about 118 printer models are mentioned. It is also a hassle to set up.
If you say want 3 computers to access the printer you have to manually connect the printer to each computer one at a time with USB to get it working. That is if you are lucky to have it support you're printer.
Do not buy unless you are aware what is involved and make sure you are on the compatibility list or do not buy.
By the way it only received one star do to not having an option to give it none. Not the best tech purchase I have made and trust me I have used some low quality stuff.

I purchased this print server to support a Canon MP600 multi-function printer on a Bell South wireless network. It works with both my Windows XP PC and Windows Vista laptop. Setup for guests is easy and I have recommended this server to several others who have similar experiences. Great device.

Does not support TCP/IP printing, so no printing from Mac OSX or Linux. Windows only. And once installed it is impossible to change the default printer to anything except the one attached to the WPSM54G. I never would have purchased it if I had had known this would be the case.

Be prepared for problems. Microsoft Defender on Windows XP prevents the installation process from usually completing normally, trying to kill the unnamed, unsigned (suspicious) program, even if you ''allow'' the registry modifications in the Defender alert. Also the way the discovery agent works, you can run into problems seeing the print server if you have more than one device (e.g. router and switch) between you and the box, even though a ping test will be successful.

Even though the Linksys website that this printserver will work with Vista, it doesn't.
After 1 hour and 30 minites with linksys tech support I was told that I would have to wait for new drivers that are Vista compatable. Set up easily on XP computers.

My computer and wireless networking skills are all self-taught. I had no problems intergrating this into my wireless network. Now my wife can print her documents from her laptop without leaving the chair she's sitting in. Great Product!
