Genuine
Canon Video Lens
The name Canon is synonymous with optical excellence the world over. Brilliant optical quality is part of every Canon broadcast TV lens, 35mm film camera, digital camera and camcorder -- and the DC210 is no exception. It gives you clear, vibrant and brilliant video and digital photographs.
Canon's
Image Stabilizer
The built-in, high-quality image stabilizer allows you to shoot professional-looking,
rock-steady video -- whether you're recording sporting events, your child's
birthday party, or a long focal length shot without a tripod. Your life
never sits still, and the DC210 will help you capture it all.
Canon's
Exclusive DIGIC DV II
Thanks to DIGIC DV ll image processing, the DC210 produces video with improved
color reproduction -- especially in skin tones, and dark and light scenes.
It also uses a hybrid noise reduction system that employs two types of noise
reduction -- for images that are crystal clear.
Level and Grid Markers
Level, well-composed shots are simple with the Level and Grid Marker features. Line up the horizon or other horizontal lines with the Level Marker in the viewfinder for level landscapes. Or, use the Grid Marker to help compose the perfect shot. Both markers can be set to white or grey for enhanced visibility, no matter what the background.
Easy Operation
The DC210's Joystick lets you control your exposure under difficult lighting
conditions -- you can meter on your subject and lock your exposure, or you
can compensate by adjusting your exposure by up to 11 stops.
Quick Start
With Quick Start, you'll never miss a shot again. Simply push the Quick Start button, in between shots,
to put your camcorder in stand-by mode. Push the Quick Start button again, and your camcorder powers up and begins to
record in less than a second. When using Quick Start, you are considerably extending the life of your battery compared to that of regular recording mode.

This camera takes nice video's for the price. It has a great, if too sensitive, zoom capability. You will enjoy your shooting experience. And it is affordable enough that you can let your kids borrow it and shoot their own world. BUT BUT BUT, it is missing a HUGE feature. It has no USB or FireWire port!!! Transferring your video into your PC will require purchase of additional equipment or software. Although your Computer can play a finalized DVD if the computer has a DVD drive, the formats on the finalized mini-DVD from this camera are not recognizable to Microsoft Movie Maker. When I learn more about the DVD and video process, this will probably seem like a minor problem, but as a novice it has been a major spoiler of my fun.

so far this item is very fashionable and lightweight product that gets the job done. The only down fault I have is the fact that I can't view what I recorded on the actual tv until I finalized the disk. But I can still view it on the acutal camara which is not a problem.
REVIEW BY: suzleigh, she should go to google & enter ''vfo''
& she'll find vfo & converters for ''vfo''. she should do a lil'
research on the internet, before she gives a bad rap.i know research takes times, but you'd be amazed what you can find, for free & trial version to try 1st for before you buy.

Awesome camera, excellent value, easy to use. This is my first digital camcorder. I knew nothing about camcorders, did my research, mini-dvd is the fastest, easiest, and best choice. Canon resources in combination with TigerDirect services are unbeatable. This is dynamite until I am ready to step up to HD and I will use both again when I am ready to upgrade.

MEGAPIXELS AND PHOTO PRINT SIZE
The
photo print quality of your images depends on the camera's "megapixel
rating." The higher number of pixels your camera has, the higher the resolution
(or sharpness) of your images---and the larger your prints can be without
quality loss.
Digital Camera Flash Storage
Capacities
* Average file size
using cameras highest resolution JPEG mode. Actual number of
photos, songs, and minutes will vary depending on camera/device model,
format resolution and compression, usable capacity, and bundled software.
Actual usable memory capacity may vary. 1MB equals 1 million bytes; 1GB
equals 1 billion bytes.
NUMBER OF IMAGES STORED ON A DIGITAL CARD The number of
pictures you can take varies depending on your camera model and complexity
of the scene being photographed. To calculate how many pictures your card
can hold, divide the capacity of your card by the average file size of your
images. For example, if you have a 256MB card, and use a camera that has an
average file size of 1.2MB, then 256 divided by 1.2 gives you approximately
213 pictures. As you change modes on your camera, the number of images will
increase if you shoot in a lower resolution mode, and decrease if you shoot
in a higher resolution mode.
