from using multiple monitors on the same PC. Ironically, many of
today's PC have the capability already installed, and Windows (since 2000)
natively supports dual monitors. Configuring dual monitors is so easy: just use

Express 2.0 - High End Graphics Have Arrived
PCI Express Base 2.0 specification doubles the interconnect bit rate from
2.5 GT/s to 5 GT/s in a seamless and compatible manner. The performance
boost to 5 GT/s is by far the most important feature of the PCI Express
2.0 specifications. It effectively increases the aggregate bandwidth of
a 16-lane link to approximately 16 GB/s. The higher bandwidth will allow
product designers to implement narrower interconnect links to achieve
high performance while reducing cost.

of optimizations and improvements have been made to the protocol and software

I put this card in a quad-core computer with the intent of running dual monitors and it worked perfectly! Really great speed and quality even when running a converter for VGA from the DVI port. Great card all around, just not for gaming on modern games.

Plays 1080p video with ease, plays some of the mordern games at low-medium settings. runs at 51 degrees at full load but its never a problem until a graphics card goes over 68 degrees. would recommend for the average internet user.

Works out of the box for Windows 8
I just upgraded my home PC to Windows 8 a few weeks ago. My old ATI card was giving me numerous issues (crashed Windows on boot up 50% of the times and woke up with one of displays disabled after I put it to sleep) and their web site was no help (there is no listing of which cards work with Windows 8). NVidia web site is very clear on this. Since my PC's power supply is only 300W, I settled for GeForce GT 610 (1GB). I am not a gamer but I use multiple monitors. This card works out of the box with Windows 8. I did not even need to use the installation CD (which supports up to Windows 7 only). Everything works beautifully!
