The 7.2 mega pixel NV7 OPS with 1/2.5” CCD and 7x optical zoom uses the ASR (Advanced Shake Reduction) system that is unique to Samsung, in addition to brand new OPS (Optical Picture Stabilization) technology for double anti-shake protection.
These combined technologies enable you to take clear and natural pictures anywhere and in lower light conditions without using a flash.
Camera shake is caused by many factors, such as normal shaking of the hand, zooming, or insufficient light. The NV7 has built-in OPS, an optical anti-shake technology, to minimize camera shake and to deliver clearer resolution.
OPS (Optical Picture Stabilization) uses an Image Sensor Shift mechanism that moves the sensors in the opposite direction to the movement of the lens (caused by camera shake) and corrects the shake. A product of Samsung’s superior technology, OPS is the best anti-shake technology available; it translates any movement detected by its two shake-detection sensors into an algorithm, and corrects even the tiniest of shakes through this process.
The ASR technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and colour common to flash photography. With ASR the effects of camera shake are reduced in lower light conditions. You can even take well exposed, sharper pictures in low light without using a flash at all. It guarantees brighter and more natural pictures.

Bought this camera in the spring before going on my yearly fishing trip. The quality/value comparison is probably the best way to evaluate this camera. Other cameras have much better quality, but for a far greater price. I feel I made a very good decision purchasing this camera so far. It has excellent image and video quality if you take the time to learn the functions of the camera. To pull it out of the box and point and shoot, you probably won't like what you see. All in all I don't think you can get a better camera for the price. |

I bought my NV7 camera several months ago and love it. The photos are great, the flash is strong, and the battery is quick to recharge. I love the tele lens, but it does make it impossible to carry in a ladies purse. I went from a 25-year-old Nikon F7 to this, so I'm used to the larger size. For the money, it's a keeper! |

Well after having no camera for some time I decided to go looking for options. I found the NV7 at Tigerdirect to be unbeatable. The Samsung technology although different became very easy and intuitive after reading through the manual and simply playing with the camera. The NV7 while it is not the 10, 12 or greater pixel camera it will take pictures big enough that I can't print them. I do like the flash design and the quality of the photo's. Don't get me wrong this camera definately has a learning curve. Once your over that curve you will love the ease and convenience of this camera. |

Order arrived two days after ordered. There is no battery in the camera. Package plastic bags (for user manu, cables, charger, lens cover) are very sticky. Had to wash hands after opened them. It seems they were explosed to saltwater. There is no French manu in the box. The camera has fine workmanship which give you the feeling of camera in good old days. |

average file size of 1.2MB, then 256 divided by 1.2 gives you approximately
