A resistive touchscreen panel is a technology composed of several layers, the layers that allow control of positioning are two thin, electrically conductive layers separated by a narrow gap. When your finger, presses down on a point on the panel's outer surface the two metallic layers come in contact at that point, and that location is sent to the device - to perform some action or move the cursor. Resistive touchscreens are reliable, but can only be used to control a single point at a time.
capacitive touchscreen panel consists of an insulator such as glass, coated with a transparent conductor such as indium tin oxide (ITO). Since the human body is also an electrical conductor, touching the surface of the screen results in a distortion of the screen's electrostatic field, measurable as a change in capacitance. Different technologies may be used to determine the location of the touch. The location is then sent to the device to be interpreted. Unlike a resistive touchscreen, capacitive requires contact with your finger - it is much more flexible and precise, but you can't use it with gloves, though you can use a capacitive stylus if the device supports them. Capacitive touchscreens also support multi-touch operations that let you perform more complex tasks with a single action.

Can't beat it even with a big stick
I bought one for each of my three children, they love them and at a fraction of the price for tablets that are not that much better. No issues with the refurbed units all work perfectly

Good tablet for the money
I bought this for my wife to use while getting Chemotherapy. She sez it is easy to use and has so many features, she still figuring it out. Good Deal!

GREAT LITTLE HUMMER...
I bought the Cruz T408 as a Christmas present to a friend. The setup was easy and everything she needed was accessible in minutes. She likes games and the Cruz provided her favorite... angry birds. It's a great product to carry to the office. I recommend it to those who are looking for a basic tablet.

Great value! My wife loves that i got her an Internet Tablet for her birthday rather than the E-Reader she asked for. Amazon app store does not work but that's a minor bump in the road for this tablet!

Is it Really BAD?
A couple guys here don't have a clue as to what they are talking about. Android 2.xx has NO PROBLEM with Google Play Store in downloading apps. Also all the apps seem to work with the older Android OS. These 2 guys need to learn about Android before they criticize erroneously. Learn before you TALK. Over 80% of tablets use the older 2.xx version. Yes, updates to the OS may be impossible to get but not much difference in the old versus new (although they want you to believe you need it). Sells more newer tablet, I guess. I have both Gingerbread and Jellyfish. One of these guys may also have a problem with the wireless system on the slowness.
