Software is on floppy discs?! Today's computers no longer include floppy discs, so how do we use them? My ignorance is showing, or the software is obsolete, which is it? Please advise.

I am very pleased with the Cyberpower 1500 AVR. Battery backup on all six outlets is more practical than six outlets where 3 are surge only as many of the AVR's offer. Be aware that while it is a rackmount, I discovered that it was much deeper than my 12" rack. Measure twice, cut once, right?

Yes, insanely heavy, but it functions like a pro. I use this UPS for my oil-fired furnace. Worked fine thru ice storms & power outages. How can I complain. 2 years old & I've had to replace 1 of the internal battery cells.

This insanely heavy S.O.B. is probably THE BEST investment I've ever made. I've been through several outages, blips, brownouts, and storms (of the ice, electrical, and thunder varities), never once losing power or connectivity on my network. They come with rackmount hardware (and feet if you choose to stand it upright), and the software that's included makes management a breeze! I have three, and I'm about to order a fourth - they're worth every penny, two times over. I've been rockin' the first one for well over 2 years now and have never had to replace the battery cell, and #2/#3 have been going strong for 10+ months with no issues whatsoever. ***Added bonus = product registration guarantees consumer HUGE $$$ coverage for damage to devices powered by the unit!!!

Hello, I ama Amateur Radio Operator, I have the 1500 AVR at my radio room, I live in florida and we do have a lot of AC flicker/brown/black outs the 1500AVR has provided me with power all the time, i run a Deskto pc and a 12v 25amp psu for my 3 radios (Vhf, Uhf ans HF) and this AVR is able to handle all the punishment, one thing I would recomend is to change out the seald lead acid 12v 7Ah battery's about every 2 years or so as they do dry up and can caulse problems donw the road, on AVG. i give this unit a whopping 9.5 out of 10 for all, De K4eeZ

I bought this UPS a few months ago. The unit works well and has stopped my computer from shutting down abruptly due to power outages. A good UPS is very important, since power surges can damage hard drives (this can be very frustrating if your data is not backed up, or if you don't have a cloned copy of your hard drive) and other parts in a computer. If you buy this unit, please get the installation software from the company's website, and do not bother with the floppy disks. This UPS works quite well with Linux and Windows.

I had it for 6 months and it worked very well in several black out, no downtime for my servers.
One thing worth to notice is that the unit is pretty hot (3x-4x hotter than APC, anyone can explain why would be appreciated) therefore you need to have some good ventilation.
Also, it can pass through X10 signal for some reasons!! APC filters all X10 signals, it was so annoying because we have a telephone responder to restart our router/servers in case Internet cannot be reached. Actually, if it can pass through X10, does that mean it doesn't have good filter? Anyways, it's strongly recommended.

Great product and much better value then equivalent APC or Tripplite UPS. Bundled software provides a intuitive user interface to manage the UPS.
