This monitor is one of the best I have ever seen. Unfortunatly, some of the settings are locked on mine and I still haven't figured out why. This was offset, however, by my ATI card and CATALYST. After changing my setting directly on my card, I got perfect contrast, from jet blacks to snow whites, and colors that are the most vibrant I've seen in years. The widescreen is great for everything to games to internet surfing. If you are used to using full screen monitors, it make take a little bit to get used to the look, but in the end you will never want to go back. One thing I have to question is that when I got this same model some time back, tiger had labeled it as being 2ms, though now they say 4ms. Either way, that is incredible. I would (and do) recommend this to everyone I know. Samsung knows LCDs.

I purchased it on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday on ground shipping. I am very impressed with fast shipment. When it arrived, I assembled the monitor and plug in the DVI port while the computer is off. I turned it on, installed the driver, and adjust the display settings to 1440 x 900 and 60 hz and it was beautiful. There was no dead pixels and my photos from my digital camera looks real. Even the images from the internet look crisp. I didn't buy the monitor to play games, but I bet the games will be awesome. I will be using it mostly for photos, internet, and movies. I only got it for 2 days and there were no problems. And it is a great price. I greatly recommend it.

Great buy! and the price has dropped since I bought my 941BW 30 days ago. At 4ms the speed is great. No ghosting. No dead pixels. The best resolution is 1440x900 which produces small characters. You will need to spend some time getting your adjustments just right. Under display properties of Windows XP be sure to set your ''effects'' to use ''Clear Type'' font. Also set your font size to use large fonts. This will produce large smooth characters without shifting your basic resolution.

This is an incredibly nice monitor. Just hook it up and it works perfectly. All I had to do was change my screen resolution to optimize it, and it is crystal clear. 4ms response time is fast, even for gaming. Having both DVI and VGA is nice. You really can't beat this monitor, especially for the price.

Just got the monitor as a present from my wife. Hooked it up, put the driver disk in the disk drive and nothing happened. Looked at the disk and noticed it was warped. Called Samsung and they shipped one out to me. Meanwhile I start pushing buttons and realized that the software is loaded onto a chip inside the monitor. The colors are so sharp and the widescreen picture is great. Tech support gets an A+, and so does the monitor.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for the wife. She looks down at her monitor and it was bothering her neck. Figured bigger and higher would help.
Set the monitor (and an adjustable stand I bought from Tiger) up pretty quickly. But it took me 2+ hours to figure out how to adjust the monitor so it didn't look like a 600 x 400 cheapo monitor from the 80's. Wow. Then I tried to download the ''magic match'' software for the monitor thinking it would adjust the video settings for me. Wouldn't run on WinXP!
In the end, I read the manual and the troubleshooting guide to find out that the ideal screen resolution for this monitor is 1440 x 900. Who knew??
So I set everything back to factory default and voila! Very nice picture.
One other irritation: every time the monitor comes on (or the computer comes off sleep) it has a box indicating the input mode (''analog'' in my case).
Good deal, good monitor. Read the directions.
