HiRO V.92 56K External USB Data Fax Voice Modem
HiRO H50113 External USB modem provides an easy way to link you to the world. It incorporated the V.92 standard, so your PC can establish a connection faster, and the connection can be up to 56K speed. Modem-on-hold feature allows you to answer a phone call during an internet connection, then resume after the call is finished without killing the connection. The bundled Fax Talk Communicator application allows you to use your PC as an answer / voicemail box as well as a fax machine. Installing this modem is an easy process; with the external design & USB interface, all you need do to is to connect the USB and phone cable, without even opening up your PC. With so many features packed into such a little box, you can never go wrong with HiRO modem.

This modem did give me some trouble installing in Windows 7 (64 bit), the first time I tried. It did, however, finally install correctly and has worked flawlessly ever since. |

Easy intall on my Win 7 64 bit system. All functions work. You must upgrade drivers to activate the voice function. Just a few years ago an external vax-voice modem would cost 5 or 6 times as much. Plus this offers you a very small foot print. |

I purchased this device for a compaq laptop with a blown modem. It worked great and was easy to install. Wished it would have shipped a little faster though. I would purchase another one if needed. |
