It blew up my computer!
Seriously, the filter screen works exactly as advertised. Coincidentally, 3 days after installing it on my HP expensive laptop, the laptop died. New laptop doesn't need a filter screen! Oh well!

does what it says but
yes it works from the side, but my mistake that I also thought that it would work up and down, not just side to side. The bad part is that your screen is still viewable from way across the room if they are in line of sight even if you have it adjusted downward.

Happy with purchase
I am very happy with my purchase it does give alot of privacy from my screen, the only problem I have had is the little stick on's to hold the privacy filter in place. My filter keeps falling off when I open the computer, I think the stick on's are to short or something, otherwise it does what it's supposed to and gives privacy to my screen..
