You get what you pay for
I ordered 2 of these for our bedside tables (we both have iPhones). Hubby has the old RCA RC65i at work & wanted one for home but wanted the RC170i because he thought it was the newer model. If it is, shame on RCA. The RC170i is entirely plastic, the docking part does not slide back into the unit and (for us) we have to raise up out of bed to see the clock on this unit because the clock is at the top and the top is tilted back quite a bit. We will buy the RC65i and trash these.
