using it 24x7 and works great

I bought 6 total and 2 went bad within a day or 2. Just stopped showing up and needed to return. I think I am going back to the 3.5 drives.

Small, Simple and Portable
What more to say. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. The unit is small and extremely portable. It was able to backup every file, video and picture I have on my computer without any issues.

Simple and Powered by USB
I got this model twice(500GB)and 3x-(2TB) and 1x-(750 GB)versions of this drive for backup drives to my Data drives for my desk tops and laptop. They are simple to use and don't need AC power and Adapter. LESS Wires and Cords! I like their compact size and a great drive to carry around for laptop users. Attention Dell XPS 8500 Owners - using the these drives to make a Windows 7 backup of image drive on a XPS 8300 works fine, but on the new Dell XPS 8500 there are system issues with a Windows 7 not finding a file and creating a (0X8007002) error which cancels the backup about half way through. This is a new problem recently popping up on the Internet and not an issue with the Drive. Just Windows-Dell-Intel have to figure out the 3.0 USB stuff out because it is affecting any USB 3.0 drive being used to make an Image Backup on it. I used and old external drive with an AC adapter and USB 2.0 to make an Image Backup without issue on the XPS 8500.
