Just got mine today. Very intuitive, good performance, not great. The BT integration is fantastic even with an old Mot Razr and simple to pair. The suction cup mount is not very reliable, the bean-bag friction mount is the way to go but at $40, a very expensive bean bag.
The ''Web watcher'' software update service (free) works well.
My main complaint is the lack of a Qwerty keyboard option, it's a real PITA. They have it in other models, why not the 660?

I have to say this is a very impressive unit overall. The touch screen moves along a lot faster than my wife's older unit. The map is more recent than my wife's. The free traffic alert (3 months) is interesting but I don't think I will register. The screen is large and clear. I just love the bluetooth. The BT sound is good in and outbound. It really transforms your phone into a hands free device. I will caution that you have to watch for private calls when on a speaker phone in a car full of people. The FM does not work for me. My antenna is in the rear window so I think it too far for the small transmitter. I would get this unit again.

Overall a fun ''toy'' GPS unit, lacks serious features such as practical trip planning using your own routes, poor pathfinding on it's own it often wants you running up & down side streets even when there's a nice empty avenue or boulevard providing an obvious direct easy route, does not take into account routes with dozens of stop signs vs direct parkways, seems to be fond of suggesting transitways (restricted for Buses only), you can not exclude toll roads or streets that you don't want to take from your trip. Traffic alerts are fun but the avoid option does nothing more than reroute you back to the same route anyway. Nice display but +/- buttons sometimes take multiple presses to do anything. FM transmitter is low quality sound with allot of background noise. does have good construction quality & mounting kit works well, case fits nicely, unfortunately the length of the autopower (lighter) adapter is very long & interferes with gear selector. good intro GPS.

Bought the 660 Asian language edition, it works great. Blue tooth works w/ RAZR, found traffic problems and automatically rerouted me. Asian language displays and voice work well.

Received this at Christmas 2007. I use daily. Motorola cell phone will not connect. Have not received any traffic warnings with this as of yet but did get tied up in traffic. That was a let down. Unit falls off dash. Suction cup holder not that great. Does not show new highway I 355 Extension that opened in mid November. Emailed asking why and it took 2 weeks to get answer that said they only update maps once or twice a year. Told to check back in April/May. I was shocked. Unit does get me where I need to go.

Crisp images but they get washed out by sunshine through windshield. Stores favorites but does not provide a way to alphebatize or otherwise oraganize them. Has ABC keyboard but needs QWERT instead for typed entry ease. When searching, e.g., for Starbucks, which are all over our city, only pulls up 4 options max, no matter what I search for. Would not buy it again or recommend it.

Anyone who wants to relax when they ride and not think of what street to take for any destination, whether long distance or local; All I have to say is get NUVI product. I personally own the model NUVI650-it doesnt come with the blue tooth, dont need it it gets too distracting - I try to avoid speaking when driving. MP3 player awesome, accepts SD media for Mp3/pics. Great response in map refreshes. Didn't bother to look any where else.. Costco had the unit on special for $350.00 +taxes.

I own 2 Nuvi GPS Navigation ''portables''. They are both excellent. The screens, details, ease of use and set up are excellent. The hands free features are a big bonus to allow a convenient safety feature. Great value. Easily as good as the built in GPS in my lexus.

Hi all,
Just had to write a review.
Every weekend I moonlight as a courier.
I used to use Microsoft Streets and trips 2007 on my computer. For safety reasons I purchased this Garmin Nuvi 660 (wife had alot o do with this). It works well with my phone. I talk to dispatch through my car stereo via the Aux adapter and Ear phone jack on the unit. Integrated Traffic keeps me as clear as one can be in Atlanta, GA (traffic is an acceptable excuse for being late at any time) on a Friday night. IF I miss a turn it automatically reroutes faster than you can turn around (however, you may want to turn around -- it sometimes is quicker). Some new streets are not on the unit. However, I drive dowm them and it finds its way to route me accordingly. I have not cracked my laptop since buying this to route for any directions. Although my online poker game is suffering -- This is a must have unit for people who rely on GPS for work!! For others, there are cheaper options.

The Unit works really well, how-ever if you think Garmin will provide quality support for the GTM20 Real Traffic that comes with the unit, your dead wrong, beware, The Real Traffic info doesn't work, and Garmin won't give you straight answers as to when or why it will work. otherwise its a great unit
