I have two of these drives one for work and one for personal use. The one for work gets used and abused. This thing is taken to sites for work, dropped (not recommended), and left in the console of my car. This little hard drive is our life saver at work and I work in IT. Highly recommend any of these passports to anyone.
This is a great product! I have had NO problems with it. It travels to work and home daily. I have had no problems with it working from my home laptop, work laptop, or work desktop. It is worth more than the cost!!!
I purchased this drive primarily to transport media files between work and home. Let me tell you, this drive has taken savage beatings. From big falls to getting stepped on, its held up…and it shows. The glossy exterior is pretty much dulled by scratches, dents and smudges.
The performance of this drive has been top notch. Throughout it’s rough life, it has never failed to boot up and has never had any disc errors. And as far as installation, plug the thing in. That’s about it. A nice little light lets you know its on, and that’s about it. Its USB powered so you never need a power adapter, which is great.
I have absolutely no complaints about this drive and will defiantly purchase another, higher capacity model in the future.
I have been using mine for almost a year now. Works flawlessly and has been a great asset for transferring files between work and home. Superb storage (and performance - read/write speed) in a small package. Cosmetically, it is starting to show a few minor scratches, but I have worked it hard ... and hauled it all over the country in a backpack. Still, the black case is a vast improvement over the last generation that had a bulkier silver case.
The only real qualm I have with this drive is how chintzy the shiny black surface is. Be warned: even wiping dust off the case will leave scratches. I bought the drive as a Christmas present and while testing, it got a little dusty. I wiped the dust off with a computer cleaning wipe which left dozens of little scratches. Even using a lint-free wipe will leave scratches. The surface is actually easy to mar than an iPod.
