This product works perfectly with my 6-year-old compaq presario. I took out both 256MB PC2100 memories and replaced with two of these PC2700's. The laptop received an immediate boost on performance. (It no longer has to do memory swap on the hard drive, which used to stall the laptop all the time.)
I put a 4 on 'value' because I was expecting DDR memory to be a little bit cheaper...

Good price, quick shipping, easy to install, no problems. Earlier this year I bought one 1G chip from the place I bought my laptop (and left the other 256MB chip in) -- no end of grief and blue screens of death. Didn't want to spend almost $200 on 2x1G. Replacing both my 256MB chips with 512MB ones has made for a nice improvement at a nice price.

I was going to opt for the next larger chip but to save money went with this 512mb chip. I still doubled the ram of my laptop, and it really helped improve performance. It was a really easy install.

What a difference it made when I installed them. Was running two 256mb cards now with these 512mb ultras my laptop is running super fast. Thanks in helping me to find what I needed.
