Very Handy Device
Worked immediately as advertised. I had no issues from the time I opened the package, it was easy to set up and very easy to use. For $40 bucks you can't go wrong. Now I am able to use my old IDE drives, instead of them sitting on a shelf. To bad it doesn't work on laptop drives. That would be really handy as well.

Very handy
Worked immediately as advertised. I had to check the manual illustrations a couple times to figure out which one was appropriate for the drive that I was checking; there were more alternative configurations than I expected. But once I saw how it all fit together, it was easy. For $30, it's hard to see how it could be better. I set a notch lower on Features, Quality and Performance only because I ''assume'' that all could be better, but I don't have ideas on what those would be at the price.

Very Handy!
I bought this product over a year ago and finally had a chance to use it. This adapter works great. I used it to transfer files from an old defunct computer's hard drive. I have left the adapter hooked-up to that old hard drive, and now I use that old hard drive as a temporary plug-n-play USB storage device. Pros: - Widely adaptable to SATA or IDE devices. - Works as described. Cons: - (minor) A bit cumbersome - many cables. Overall, a great and versatile product with many uses. (note - simplest configuration is for an IDE device.)
