I don't like it at all, I am a computer technician and each button serves as about 10 different purposes. It is a horrible product. using the radio is almost impossible, as the same button is for scan, preset, save, and a lot more. If it had a button for each purpose, then i would give it a 5 star - BUT IT DOESN'T! |

Has great features and sound, but is JUNK! It loses it's memory and in not even 25 uses on 2 different units (1GB and 2GB) completely stopped working/functioning on both. 1 hangs on bootup, the other won't turn on at all. I also had a memory error on one, but was able to fix it... until it stopped working entirely. Read all the other ''long tem'' reviews (aka over 6 months). Very disappointed!!! |

My son had it for a little over a year(figures) and it stopped working completely. I cannot even get anything to show up on the screen. Waste of money. |

The mp3 player was nice for a little while. I bought this thing with the retractable ultra headphones. This thing looked like it would be rugged enough so I could hold out for a deal on a primo mp3 player. The mp3 player sometimes stops responding until I reformat the drive, which I don't understand.
Overall, I thought it would be more reliable than it was. Maybe I just got a bad egg. |

Great little mp3 player while it worked. Don't be fooled by its rugged exterior, because its either fragile or prone to break by itself. Used the player only a few times and I never even used up the battery that came with it before it broke. Now it won't play music or store files! Totally useless! Don't buy! |

Let's see,the expensive MP3 is dead, so is the iPod, but this baby still works! My kids keep stealing it after their trendy MP3s have died. I have nothing but good to say about this player! The only thing I would improve on is larger print- us old folks can't see too good! |

Nice mp3 player but it doesnt last. I garentee you that something will break I went through 3 of them and thats just casual use. One my previous button broke the other the volume up button broke the other the screen protector keep falling out I just give up on the mp3 player its not worth the money even if its cheap. you better take real good care of it so that it last you a month. Sounds great tho |

I think the Hydra is the best value in mp3 players we have 6 mp3 players in the family from I pod to el cheapo and the hydra is my favorite. Since I'm the Dad i get this one, the whole family fights me for it. It looks good feels right in the hand when changing functions. things just seem to be laid out right. Have had since december 2006 no trouble what so ever. (have not tried out splash resistance). Only down side is that I can not put music in the order i want it in. I just use shuffle feature good enough. If you want the best player at the best price dont hesitate on this one. I had trouble with rebate though. Stay after them! |

sound quality is great, features... well i only use the MP3, equalizer is a little annoying.. but for those who know how to use it, its probably useful. only complaint is that its not a durable as it looks. the button to change to the next song on my original broke with in a week and i had to send in for an exchange... |

These are awesome units. Bought two for kids (9,10) to use and for mom and dad to use. Hold plently of mp3's and the fm reception seem to be great even when net to plenty of other things that can cause interferance. |
