I have used one of these units for about two years now. Overall I have got more uses per dollar than my iPod; thus being well worth the $15.00 (on sale) when I got it. When I am going to be in an unfriendly to electronics area then I take this ''beater''. Water/sweat resistant, lightweight, has an attached loop cord for securing, and takes the bumps and bangs. It can be used as an USB drive for file transfer too; includes USB transfer cable. The negative most users have given are frivolous compared to the positives and price. Will be buying another soon. |

Good little MP3 player. It works exactly as advertised, and it's tough. Very good sound quality considering the earphones it comes with. Only complaint could be some lack of features, but hey, it's not an MP4 after all. I would say, good value for the money, it will not let you down. |

I had my player for all of 2 weeks when it went bad. Do not leave the unit plugged into your USB port - it will crash.
The unit was hard to use and just try to create some from of play list or get a shuffle to work. Very un-user friendly. |

This is a great little mp3 player. The reception on the FM is surprizeingly good and I couldn't be happier with the quality. Go ahead and buy this one and you won't regret it. It's got everything!! |

This MP3 player indeed is a great deal. It is very easy to use. The sound is very good and realistic.It is very nicely designed.I prefer disposable battries versus if the unit was rechargable , because like cell phones rechargable battries need to be replaced which are expensive.It is very easy to download or upload files. |

It looks durable. It is good.
Specifics:
- order of songs is not alphabetic, but rather they are sorted by time of loading. It is not bad, but it is good to know before loading.
Bad things:
- Sound of headphones is poor. No bass, even if I change EQ to rock. Clarity is average. It sounds better in other headphones.
- No USB plug. You have to use a propritary cable. It is not mini-usb. It makes difficult to use it as a jump drive.
- FM tuner has poor reception, where other tuners are good.
- USB transfer speed is slow.
- Sound recording lacks of High Freq.

I was amazed at how easy it was to use. Especially for those of us who are computer illiterate. Sounds better than any CD player I've owned. Only drawback with ALL of these Mp3's are the earpieces. If any of these companies would put in a nice headset or soft earpieces, they'd make a killing. |

So far my daughter likes this MP3 a lot. The sound is very clear and the FM reception is very good in my area. I personally have another brand of MP3 and this Hydra display looks much better and the MENU options seems to be very friendly. Push buttons feel very nice when pressed so they dont feel cheap. |

Sound is good, the FM radio gets all the local stations. I'm glad I bought it.
Install note: XP HO Ed wouldn't find the install files for it on its own: I had to force XP HO to look in c:\windows\inf every time. |

Easily the best sounding MP3 player I have owned (including a variety of IPOD's, Creative Zen and quite a few little flash drives like this one). I'm not sure how they did it but even a true audiophile will at least like how it sounds. The bad part is the UI is kind of clunky but for my purposes, this is the best deal I've had in a long time.
