One Tough Tablet
I've had this over six months and it is virtually indestructible. I carry it in a vest pocket and it's dropped out a number of times when I bend over, including once from a balcony on a paved parking lot about 12 feet below, and twice on tile floors in an airport. The ends may pop out, but they fit right back in and it starts up without any problems. Try that with an iPad!

Recommended
I reviewed all the tablets and this most closely met my needs. The good facts are readily available. Some of the negatives are not so public. When they talk about it's short battery life they mean it. Five hours of use. This short battery life is compounded by the proprietary charging. USB charging would make it more convenient to keep it charged. The Micro usb can not read flash drives. The ability to read flash drives would increase capacity such as being able to carry multiple movies for traveling. The Screen is good but the IPAD screens are better. Not all of these accept a SIM card. There is a slot for a SIM but there are two similar models. Be sure yours will accept a data plan. I like all it's functionality such as android 4.0, GPS, dual cameras. I chose a 7 inch because of it's portability, it fits inside my jacket pocket.

just might replace my laptop with this!
ok a minor exaggeration since I'm not likely going to put a compiler on the tablet, but I think I could do nearly all of my typical personal tasks (if that's what we're calling screwing around these days) on this device. Even the hardware design is of good quality. It has some weight to it, which honestly I appreciate to a degree. The camera is OK. It updated to Android ICS and comes with the true Android Marketplace (now Google Play). I am delighted and have already recommended it to a friend.
