As people who have posted before me I only had good things to say about this TV right after I got it. The price is great and features like HDMI are nice, however after about 2 month of light use problems began to surface.
The screen simply shuts off after about an hour or so. It simply goes black although the power light stays on. Turning the TV on and off fixes the problem for a short time but the black-outs shorten in increments and eventually they occur every five minutes or so.
After checking all inputs, the power supply and going trough the numerous options in the settings menu I came to a conclusion that the problem is an internal one.
Don't be fooled by the low cost of this unit, because you'll end up wasting money that can be used toward purchasing a quality product, even if at a higher price.
Initial quality is great, but most consumers expect to have an investment like a TV last at least a couple of years.

Amazing product for the price. I use this monitor as a TV and as an external monitor for my mac (the lcd does not have an actual DVI input, but the purchase comes with an HDMI to DVI cable). Fresh out of the box the tv worked great, I have owned it for a month now and have no problems with it. Very good buy. NOTE: Many reviewers complain about the remote's ''Source'' button being poor but the tv has to cycle through six different inputs, of course its going to take a few seconds, no matter which remote you have. |

I've never heard of Sceptre before seeing it on TigerDirect.ca, so I had my doubts. Not anymore, this TV is excellent, has all the connections needed, VGA, HDMI, COMPONENT, and more (see description page), it's a great TV with many picture modes and sizes. It's perfect for a student, as a secondary tv, or for a small bedroom. I had it for two weeks now and I'm a satisfied custumer with a new cool slim LCD HDTV. |

Does this come with Connection cables?
DVI to HDMI cable? I would like to know before I order it online so that I can also purchase the propper cables if needed.

I purchased this to use it with the soon to be released PlayStation 3 (via HDMI connection ofcourse) to play in HD and to watch Blu-Ray movies. I was amazed about the fact that the PS3 and Xbox 360 are mentioned in the instructions manual that comes with the TV. The PS2 (which is not HD) will need Component Video Cables to look good (more like amazing!) on the tv. Composites cables on the other hand are a big no no (horrible graphics). There is no ghosting either (thanks to the fast response time). The 20'' size is just perfect for my small bedroom (about 10' by 10'). A bigger TV wouldn't fit around. In conclusion I have to say that i'm very satisfied with this HDTV. No dead pixels either! |

Wow!! I just got this today and it's amazing. This is a nice TV/pc monitor. Price is just right for Tv/pc. Though, I only use it for pc monitor for gaming through DVI. It respond well. You'll have to adjust which setting to fit best for your videocard, 1360 by 768 seems to work well for me. Nice clear and bright. Wear your sun glasses..LOL. Highly recommended and hopefully it will last. Thanks Tigerdirect for fast shipping. |
