Ease of Use and Simplicity
The hardest part about using this product was finding a good software package to use it with. I found a great software package the catalogs books, dvds, and music cds. It is awesome and with over 15000 books movies and cds to catalog for insurance.... It is a great time saver.

Not the best
Using this in a videostore (yes there still are some & they do very well) it is a contact reader & blinks as it scans so you must hold the barcode against the reader for more time than the other readers (Symbol). It often won't read labels that the Symbol will read. For light use where you trigger the scan it may be very suitable. Good documentation, easy to install - but not suitable for this application.

Simple Plug & Scan - Couldn't Get any Easier
Runs flawlessly with MS Excel (Windows Vista), drops the barcode right into the spreadsheet. Also tested in Point-of-Sale (POS) software and again correctly read barcodes which matched against POS database. Very impressed.

Very good value
We are a beauty salon and needed a scanner for occasionnal scanning needs (when we sell hair products, for exemple). This one is perfect for occasionnal scanning needs. I would not recommend it for a grocery store, but for our use, it is perfect. It was cheap and easy to install and to use. Very satisfied!

Great product at a great price!
For the price I paid, I think it's a great product and does exactly what I need it to do. Worked right away out of the box!
