It's not bad for the price. My advice: spend the extra 100 or 200 on the next model up.

Nice for the money
I like this receiver for the simple fact that I am using it for my HDMI projector. It allows me to split the sound off without running RCA cables and HDMI together because my projector does not have an audio out. I dont like the instructions being on a CD but I finally got it all setup properly.

Way too complicated, lousy instructions and layout
I got this receiver for my Dad to replace an old surround sound, component receiver. This thing was a headache from the start, difficult to set up, confusing, overly complicated features and way too difficult in basic operation. He just needed a basic, easy to use receiver, which is why I bought this. I sent it back and got the Yamaha media controller, which is what I should have done from the start

To be determined
Receiver looks nice but was missing a key component: the detailed instructions. The Quick Start guide only helps with the obvious in set up. The instructions are needed for programming the receiver according to functions, components and speakers. Have found the instructions online at the Pioneer site so now only have to print 37 pages and move ahead, hopefully.
