This machine did not deliver on its promise. It takes 10 minutes for it to boot up and another 10 minutes to shut down. I've gone back to my P4 for now and will shop other brands for a core 2 duo that actually delivers

Awesome machine, quick and quiet. Recommend you get the Media center, makes recording TV a breeze. Needed to download drivers from AverMedia for the TV tuner, otherwise everything worked flawlessly, right out of the box, Interior is roomy enough for upgrades, cables are neatly tucked away and well tied off. Playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 with steady 40 FPS, very impressive. Thanks to Systemax and TigerDirect!

Another great deal from Tigerdirect; the customization options were one of the reasons I decided on this over some of their other models, though I may go back and pick up another dual core system from here soon! Systemax must be complimented too for providing a solidly-built system, which can be expanded easily. I am a web and software developer, but chose the full media center PC experience due to the fact that I love to keep tabs on my favorite shows as I work. The Avermedia TV card works well; great sound on the Intel motherboard too! Kudos!

Very impressed at what I got for the money. I downgraded my PC to an e6400 and dropped alot of the options to get it just under $1000. This is my starting gaming PC after coming off of years of console games. It can run CS:S at about 50fps with everything turned on, even AA and HDR. I didn't even think the x1600 could have the fps so high with all of the eye candy. The only gripe I have is the case but for most people it won't be a problem. It doesn't have a front fan and it seems hard to mount one in the case. Also, it is not a tooless case so it requires a little more effort to change components. Even with those gripes, the case is still very quite and stays cool. Overall, an amazing PC for a great price.

BEST COMPUTER ON THE MARKET FOR THIS PRICE! As soon as the new Intel Core 2 Duo was released I looked for the best computer that offered it. Of them all I found 3 comparable systems that offered the Intel E6700 Chip (the best of all Core 2 Duo's for the price). The 3 PC's were: Velocity Campus Edition, DELL XPS 410, and this Systemax Vitality. With all options equal (3 year warranty included) here were the notable differences: 1) The Velocity was $2200 w/ a basic 19'' monitor & only 160GB Hard Drive space 2) The Dell was $1800 w/ a basic 19'' monitor & only 250GB Hard Drive space 3) The Systemax was only $1500 with 500GB Hard Drive Space! I also dropped the TV Tuner and Remote (which did not come with the Velocity or Dell anyways), and I dropped the included monitor, and then added the less expensive (but better) 19'' WIDESCREEN Sceptre monitor for $179 more (also through Tiger Direct).
