Just purchased this CPU with the following components (this part is very important because so many ppl are having compatability probs...my setup works flawlessly) Core 2 Extreme X6800 2.93, Corsair TWINX 2048 PC6400C4 DDR2 800MHz E.P.P., 2each Seagate 320GB SATA configured for RAID 0 gaming/performance, single EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX 768Mb, 2each Sony DVD burners DRU830A, 1.44 floppy drive, ThermalTake Toughpower 750W W0117RU, ASUS P5N32 SLI SE Deluxe and all this is put in an ATX Acrylic Case from Xoxide. 8800 GTX fits fine. P/S has plenty of power cables. HDDs have little shunt in back removed to allow 3GB per sec data exchange. I am using the onboard AC97 sound also. Sounds good. I am putting a review here,because Tiger no longer offers the processor I purchased, and because my ''5 Star Review'' is for Intel. I purchase the Intel P4 571, 3.8Ghz processor from Tiger. It was defective as received($670). I called Intel at 305-415-2979, and told them that the CPU ''Shut Down'',immediately after Boot-up, due to overheating. I was pleasently suprised. Intel stands fiercely behind the product they manufacture. They will replace any of their CPU's, from one year of purchase date.
So, you see, there is ''light at the end of the tunnel'' if you should purchase a ''high ticket'' item, from Tiger, that is not returnable, if it is from Intel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

well this a good cpu ,but like i said amd is going to come out with there new cpu soon and its going to be under 1100.00 and i cant say were i got this info . becouse i would grunded
but its going to beat the 2.93ghz intel core 2 extreme. you ask well by how much try ,3.4 ghz, 3.8ghz i know i did not think it was possibol.
so what im tring to say is hold of on this cpu
ohh dont get me rong this cpu fast but you havent seen any thing

I'm a gamer, SLI rig with quad gpu (2)BFG GX2 7950s, and INTEL is back on top with this processor. |

I just got this processor yesterday and I must say...simply WOW. Words cannot describe how big of an improvement over...well, anything, this proc. is. My old system was no slouch--opty 170 @ 2.8--but the system with this thing in it laughs at the old one. Cut my Super Pi mod 1M time in HALF (14.825 vs. 28.250) and added 4K to my winmark score. Nuf said. |
