Very poor video quality if expect near HD res
Excellent in every detail except in video quality (resolution). Picture looks washed out and dark. You have to adjust your TV brightness to watch a movie with dark scenes. I changed from a Netgear unit to Roku and the difference is brutal. I am going back to Netgear just for the video.

Love my Roku
Roku is so easy to set up and I can't believe all the free channels it gets. Streaming is seamless except however, shows are not in HD, which I am bummed bout. Also, some of the channels are not free and offer subscriptions, that I think is rotten since they claim the channels are free. I can understand Netfliks and Hulu not being free, but the others, the rest should be FREE.

This is the 3rd roku player I have purchased. and it still beats paying $7 per receiver every month with satellite or cable!

Best Purchase of Late
I'm not sure why I waited so long to purchase a Roku. The Roku is amazing. The only downfall for most is there is no YouTube. There was no purchase agreement stating that I had to sell my computer when I bought it so I don't care if it is missing YouTube. It performs flawless over wireless. I love the all the channels. I should have purchased the newest version since it has a faster processor(4 times faster). I would recommend Roku to all(Probably the new one).

The best purchase ever
I got rid of cable and purchased the Roku 2XD. Installation was a breeze, and there are so many free channels. I stronly suggest purchasing this if you want to reduce the extraorinaly high cable bills. I only wish I had purchases this sooner.

Roku Fulfills My Needs
Did not know much about ROKU but had heard about it Fairly easy to set up. Love old TV shows and serials, etc. so this part was great. But Crackle is slow to buffer. Serves my needs at a great price point and no more satellite fees! No more unwanted channels I did not ask for but had to pay for. Easy plug in and unobtrusive. I would highly recommend for old time TV and radio buffs. Just make sure you have a good high speed DSL or Fios for the feed.

Great for fill in viewing
I have 2 XD units, and they both get heavy use. It offers a host of services form free to paid HBO. I like it for Netflix and Crackle, but the drive in movie channels are great for a B- movie night. Plus with NASA TV and a host of news channel programs there is something for everyone.

Doesn't have YouTube
Very disappointed that YouTube isn't included. Without YouTube, I have to say that this isn't what I wanted. I guess that when you're looking at boxes like this, be sure to check what services it includes.
