Very good card for the money. Works well with my
camcorder and VCR. The programs that came with it
are basic so I use Nero to transfer video to disk.
Nero gives a better resolution with less CPU usage
than Power Director or Power Producer.
I would recommend this card for anyone interested in
low cost,and above average performance.
Tiger Direct service is tops.

A very good card, especially for the price. Works extremely well. I had no problems or issues at all installing it or operating it. It is surprising though, to get really full quality when transferring VHS tapes, you have to go all the way to the highest setting- DVD HQ, which creates really huge files. Though I can only barely notice a difference with high-quality manufactured movie tapes. For your average lower quality home video camera tapes you won't really see a difference going down to the next setting- SP DVD, and the file sizes will be half as much, though still really big.

A great capture card for the money. Set up easily and has worked dependably for two months now. Requires around 30% CPU on 3.0Ghz w/HT. Shipped with CyberLink Power Director and Power Producer, which is a bit buggy when doing multiple edits. I mostly use for capturing and editing old home movies for preservation purposes. Picture quality is as good as original VHS. Over all, an outstanding value.

This has got to be one of the best bargains out there. I bought one of these 3 yrs ago. Only reason I got a new one is the composite input on mine went bad. For 40 bucks this will do everything I want. Also a plug for Tiger Direct. I've ordered a lot of things off the internet but never had anything ship so fast. Two days to get here thanks Tiger Direct.

This is a great card for capturing those old videos on to your computer, high resolution mpeg2 & AVi formats. Very easy to use right out of box, captured first video form my old sony camcorder with in 10 minutes from opening the box. Best of all it only cost $9.99 after the rebate. What a deal.

Ok folks. My name is Jim Biggers and I am an independent film maker. I am known for Independent films like ''Pizza knights'' and ''Are we rolling Herb?''. I use this very video card. I have many cameras with analog outputs as well as some with digital outputs. I have about 6 other computers with inputcards that I paid ten times the price for But none can handle the required 720 x 480 output that this card can do and in the AVI mode too. This is my prefered anolag video capture card. As you know your base uncompressed work must be avi when using a computer to edit your movie or the work looks like garbage. The great thing is if you dont have all that fast of a computer you can use the 620 x 400 mode and gentley stretch your movie with minimal loss of resolution with this card. Remember to always look for dropped frames. In short this is my best pic when not going digital.

A great capture card for only 35 bucks. While you will need to have an extremely fast CPU to capture at full screen without the picture jumping, capturing at 1/4 screen is easy with only a modest CPU. I have an AMD 2800+, GEForce 6800XT, 1GB Ram and this card would almost handle full screen. The Cyberlink Power Director that it is bundled with does a much better job at capture than Studio 10.
Installation went very easy and for the first time with about 6 different capture cards that I tried over the past 6 months, everything installed exactly like it was detailed in the installation instructions. I would highly recommend this card if you don't need full screen capture or if you are running a very fast (dual core model CPU). Can't beat it for the money.
