If you are looking for an EPS PSU unit then this is a very good value. However make sure that your motherboard does not require both 8-pin and 4-pin to be connected. If that's the case this is the wrong power supply to get, unless you really enjoy cutting and welding wires. However when everything is compatible this is a very good PSU. I am running 2 duel core CPUs a 7950 GX2, 2 HDs, 2 optical drives, and a load of fans on it and I have power to spare.

An absolute monster when it comes to powering your system! this thing handles everything I dish at it and more. It's heavy, so it must have a lot of capacitors and all that other stuff PSU's have in them, which is the mark of an excellent PSU... Worth it's weight in gold. Don't buy anything else! if I had compared the prices, I might have gone with the 1Kwatt PSU for just that little bit more. Ah well.

Of four purchased, one exploded and one could not boot 9 HDDs while a competitor's 550 W could. The remaining two are still sealed and on their way back. Powering a spinup on 9 500GB drives takes a considerable peak output, but these simply don't muster.
